This ruling is a devastating betrayal of Haitian families who still face a humanitarian crisis in Haiti. Please pass S. 4814, extending TPS for Haitians through 2029, and affirm that the U.S. will not abandon our neighbors in the midst of catastrophe.

Action 2: Demand the defunding of ICE.

Action 4: Require a binding ethics code for Supreme Court justices.

Supreme Court justices are the only judges in the U.S. not bound by a code of ethics, and judicial conflicts of interest and blatant ethics violations have already damaged the court and eroded people’s rights. Instituting a binding code of conduct is crucial to restoring legitimacy to our highest court. Thank you.

Action 5: Oppose the expansion of ICE’s policing and surveillance authority.

Script: Hello, I’m ______ from [ZIP], asking you to oppose S. 1404, the Combating Organized Retail Crime Act of 2025 (CORCA), which authorizes a massive policing and surveillance hub inside ICE under the guise of “combating retail theft.” The FBI and DOJ already investigate organized crime, and involving ICE will impact local law enforcement and incentivize racial profiling. Please prevent passage of this invasive legislation, which would expand ICE involvement in our everyday lives and further endanger our communities.

Action 6: Avoid election misinformation.

The current administration is actively undermining election security by slashing state funding, coordination, and support, as foreign influence and AI-aided misinformation are on the rise. Voters should be alert to the fact that they are the targets of propaganda and misinformation, and verify crucial voting information, including voting status and polling locations, by checking with their state’s election officials.

Action 7: Practice essential democracy skills.

Polarization makes it easier for authoritarian leaders to divide us and harder for our democracy to function. We don’t need to agree with the “other side,” but open conversations help all of us build mutual understanding. Some Americans are withdrawing their support from the current administration and its harmful policies, and we can play a role in that shift. Our democracy has a better chance when we practice civil debate, active listening, and mutual respect. With better skills we can reunite our nation, one conversation at a time.

- The Sherwood Valley Band of Pomo Indians, Round Valley Indian Tribes, and Coyote Valley Band of Pomo Indians regain rightful control over 136 acres of their land.
- SCOTUS affirms the constitutional guarantee of American citizenship for people born on U.S. soil.
- A U.S. appellate court rules against the administration’s mass detention efforts, finding that people facing immigration detention have the right to meaningful due process protections and must be afforded a bond hearing within 90 days.
- Following a Supreme Court ruling, Federal Reserve board member Lisa Cook will retain her position on the board as she challenges the president’s unlawful attempt to fire her without just cause.
- A federal district court rules that the USDA must reinstate $127M in awarded grants that were rescinded by the administration earlier this year to organizations led by and in support of Black farmers.
- AZ: The District Court of Arizona grants a petition for habeas corpus on behalf of nine petitioners who remained unlawfully detained even after winning protection in immigration court.
- CA: As of July 1, every California school site is required to have at least one bathroom for all genders available for students.
- WY: More than 37,000 children are automatically enrolled in the SUN Bucks program, which provides each school-aged child $120 of grocery money to supplement food during summer vacation when school meals are not available.
- The NAACP rolls out their We the People campaign, a $20M get-out-the-vote campaign across 14 states with the goal of mobilizing 6.5 million Black voters for the midterm elections.
- Planned Parenthood clinics regain access to hundreds of millions in Medicaid funding due to Congress’s failure to pass an extension of the defunding provision approved last year.
- According to a Pew Research poll, three-quarters of U.S. adults believe racial and ethnic diversity is a good thing for the country.
- Global wind and solar power generated more electricity than gas for the first time in April 2026.
